About the Role

StormGeo is seeking a dedicated and meticulous Senior QA Engineer to join our team and contribute to the quality assurance of our software products. As a QA Engineer, you will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including developers, product managers, and stakeholders, to ensure that our software meets the highest standards of quality and reliability. Your role in systematically testing and verifying our applications will be instrumental in upholding excellence in user experience and overall product performance.

This position is open to candidates located within Lithuania, offering flexibility to work remotely or from our offices in Vilnius or Kaunas.

Main Responsibilities

Develop comprehensive test plans, including test strategies, test cases, and test data, based on project requirements and specifications.
Execute test cases to identify defects, issues, and inconsistencies in software functionality, performance, and usability.
Conduct regression testing to ensure that new code changes do not negatively impact existing features and functionality.
Document and report defects, issues, and anomalies with clear and concise descriptions, including steps to reproduce.
Utilize issue tracking systems (e.g., Jira) to monitor and manage the progress of reported defects and issues.
Create and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports for audit and reference.
Establish QA processes in team and actively participate in process enhancements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and designers, to resolve issues and improve product quality.
Define and maintain the test automation strategy, identify critical scenarios for automation.

Core Requirements

Extensive hands-on experience in manual software testing (approximately five years or more), with a proven track record of testing complex software systems.
At least 2–3 years of experience writing detailed test cases and executing them effectively as part of a structured QA process.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, capable of effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams and documenting results.
Good knowledge of QA methodologies, including test planning, execution and defect management.
Attention to Detail and effective time management skills to prioritize testing tasks and meet project deadlines.
Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills.
Test Documentation Skills, including the ability to create, maintain, and refine test documentation such as test strategies, test plans, detailed test cases, and reports.
Mentorship and Leadership Abilities, with experience guiding junior QA team members, promoting best practices, and fostering a quality-driven team culture.
Proactive Learning and Adaptation, with a demonstrated commitment to staying updated on industry trends, tools, and QA best practices.
Hands-on experience in web application testing.
Experience with API testing (REST or gRPC).
Familiarity with any test automation tools.

Preferred Qualifications

Basic understanding of databases (SQL).
Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
Proficiency with Git and Github.
Basic understanding of security testing principles.
Experience testing cloud-based applications.
