The Role

This role will install, configure, and maintain operating systems, servers, and applications for the infrastructure. As this role requires a blend of both technical and customer service-related skills, the Admin will also take special care to understand client needs, ensure successful installs, and guarantee stable performance.

Job Duties Include

  • Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot systems and their configurations to confirm data integrity and operating efficiency.
  • Communicate with clients to understand their needs, provide updates on their requests, and successfully set their expectations.
  • Assist in the planning, designing, and implementation for releasing of all software, hardware, and operating system updates.
  • Build new servers and perform system backups and recovery.
  • Ensure uptime of critical systems and respond rapidly to critical issues.
  • Support migrations as needed.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar, or equivalent experience
  • 0-2 years of professional experience in Systems Administration or a similar position
  • Familiar with installing, updating, troubleshooting, and supporting operating systems
  • Familiar with file and user permissions, directory structures, proper disk configurations, and SAN operations
  • Familiar with backups, restore, and recovery models
  • Certifications are a plus, but not required
