Heartland Behavioral Health Services is seeking a Part Time Child/Adolescent Psychiatrist to serve as Medical Director for their team.
Heartland Behavioral Health Services offers residential treatment, out-patient and acute hospitalization services for youth ages 4-21. Heartland is a safe, positive environment where patients receive the treatment they need to return to the community.
Opportunity Details
Part Time, Employed, Medical Director position
Tele-psychiatry position with quarterly travel to facility (paid by facility)
Adolescent patient load (ages 12-17)
Duties involve Medical Director should be free to travel to the facility for quarterly meetings, and in-person collaboration with medical staff; cover PTO & leave of other providers; oversight of medical staff and medical staff bylaws; and collaborative practice with PMHNPs.
Attend and lead medical staff meetings monthly (virtually).
Provide e-scripts in collaboration with PMNHPs. In conjunction with the collaborative practice, Medical Director will co-sign psychiatric evaluations, discharge summaries and admission orders for PMHNPs. This can be done via electronic medical records and dictation system.
Medical rounding and evaluation of patients can occur via tele-health, if covering the PTO/leave of another provider
