We are looking for a 3+ years experienced QA Engineer who will be responsible for Software Testing and Performance Testing predominantly with mobile application(s) and in a highly decoupled cloud-based micro services mesh;

What You Will Be Doing

• Participate in all phases of QA testing including: System (functional and non-functional), Integration, Regression, Smoke, Exploratory, Performance, Data verification and Acceptance testing;
• Continuously streamline and improve the testing life cycle to ensure test planning, execution, and reporting are effective and coordinated;
• Analyze testing results to enhance future test plans and scenarios. (Including metrics and benchmarks to gauge improvement);
• Automate basic repetitive scenarios;
• Work in an Agile cross-functional team;
• Continuous learning and researching for identifying shortcomings and opportunities for test strategies;
• UI Application Testing;
• Design, execute, and maintain comprehensive test cases for user interface applications;
• Identify and document UI defects, ensuring alignment with user experience standards;
• Collaborate with developers to ensure UI components meet functional requirements;
• Backend REST API Testing;
• Test RESTful APIs using tools like Postman, Swagger, or similar platforms;
• Verify API responses, data integrity, and error handling;
• Perform end-to-end testing to validate API and UI integration;
• Write and execute SQL queries to validate backend data.

What Will Help You Succeed?

Being an expert in:

• Software quality (SQA) methodologies and practices;
• All the phases of QA testing: System (functional and non-functional), Integration, Regression, Smoke, Exploratory, Performance, Data verification and Acceptance testing;
• Attention to detail and a proactive approach to quality assurance.

Being experienced in:

• Testing, defect reproducing and tracing in a Distributed Environment;
• Testing Strategies in a Microservice Architecture;
• GDPR best-practices for testing;
• Continuous integration concepts;
• Familiarity with task/defect tracking systems (e.g., Jira);
• Backend (APIs, Databases) and UI testing and automation;
• Security fundamentals; authentication, authorization, cryptography;
• Event-driven architecture and technologies;
• Automated CI/CD solutions (e.g. Jenkins);
• Cloud technologies (preferably GCP);
• Containerization and container orchestration technologies (preferably K8s).
