About the Role:

We are seeking a dynamic Technical Marketing Manager to lead our newly established Customer Success Team. This role will be responsible for actively representing our brand to end-users, business partners, and market influencers to create brand loyalty, expand expertise, and drive sales growth. This role will also own the newly established Weld-On Education and Certification program and will be instrumental in running the program, driving engagement, and providing world-class service and training. They will work with internal functions to develop new cutting-edge technology to support customers.


The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in field marketing, technical training, web-based training, and development of engaging courses and content. They will have a positive and supportive approach that garners attention and trust. The right person will be able to show the customer the path to value and build ongoing relationships. They will be a technically adept communicator with the ability to provide accurate information in both detailed and simple deliveries. The role will require outreach and constant interaction with clients, contractors, trade schools, unions, and associations. The successful candidate will significantly expand awareness and advocates for Weld-On offerings and expertise. The position will be based in the USA but interact and support global markets including western Europe and Mexico.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop partnerships with distributors, influencers, contractors, trade schools, unions and associations to advocate the value of Weld-On and drive brand preference
  • Plan, organize and execute in-field and online customer engagement activities that align with marketing and sales goals
  • Deliver compelling in-person and online demonstrations on product features, procedures and benefits
  • Conduct installation, product and expert trainings online and in-field (sites, association meetings, tradeshows, customer events)
  • Represent Weld-On at tradeshows, customer events, and industry conferences
  • Collect and relay voice of the customer (VOC) to influence product development, marketing communication, customer service support and sales processes
  • Develop and nurture new products and technologies aligned with customer needs
  • Create courses and content that expand knowledge and understanding for Weld-On products and services
  • Provide external customers with technical support when needed
  • Manage the online platform for brand webinars, self-guided trainings, and specification support
  • Measure key performance indicators (KPIs) for brand advocation, program effectiveness, and revenue growth
  • Manage the scheduling and effectiveness of the Customer Success Team


The Technical Marketing Manager role is global and will require domestic and international travel. Up to 50% travel is required. Candidate must be located in USA.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7 years in customer success, field marketing, technical product training, or engineering role
  • Experience with industrial products, chemical products. pipes or technical packaged goods
  • Experience in industries related to irrigation, pool, industrial, landscaping, construction, electrical or plumbing
  • Proficient with Salesforce, Microsoft office, scheduling software, online training modules, and social media
  • Organized, results driven, and ability to work cross-functionally with deadlines
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, Spanish a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred; marketing-related field also considered
