League One Volleyball (LOVB, pronounced “love”) is reimagining the sport of volleyball, and is the only professional league that has a youth-to-pro ecosystem. We believe in the power of sport to create better life outcomes for those who play it.

Launched in 2019, LOVB today has the largest youth volleyball community in the U.S., with over 14,000 youth athletes across twenty-six states. LOVB is launching its pro league in January 2025 from the grassroots up, built from its foundation of junior volleyball clubs and led by the world’s best professional players. The idea behind LOVB is championing athletes through their entire volleyball journey, from getting introduced to the sport and developing as youth players, to supporting their recruitment to college programs, to creating pathways for athletes to play professional volleyball here in the United States.

It is a groundbreaking time for volleyball, with record audiences viewing the college game, volleyball the #1 most played girls' U.S. youth team sport, and 38M current and former players across the country today. Through LOVB, we are focused on driving both participation in the sport and its fandom, while actively supporting youth and professional players. In this role, you will join a mission-driven, roll-up-your-sleeves team of innovators and builders who have come together to change the paradigm of professional volleyball and women’s sport.

The Role

As the eCommerce Manager, you will oversee site operations, site merchandising and the execution of the ecommerce calendar. You will collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, creative, product and social teams to deliver a seamless and engaging customer journey while meeting business objectives. A key focus will be on leveraging analytics to refine site performance, improve conversion rates, and drive innovation through testing and optimization.

Responsibilities

Site Operation

○ Manage day-to-day operations for all ecommerce sites- Shopify + launch Tik Tok.

Customer Service

○ Act as interim customer service manager engaging and responding to customer

Inquiries.

Site Merchandising

○ Execute site merchandising strategy (created/developed by senior team members)

including go-to-market for new product launches and ongoing content and taxonomy

updates to drive growth for both new and existing products.

○ Develop and manage with key senior leaders the DTC merchandising calendar (annual,

quarterly, and weekly) to ensure alignment with key sales opportunities and promotions.

○ Collaborate with Marketing, Creative, Product, and social teams to execute

merchandising strategies that drive revenue and support business goals.

○ Organize and categorize products for a user-friendly site experience, including managing

collections, featured products, and best sellers, to improve product visibility and sales.

○ Develop and execute plans for “low hanging fruit” opportunities to increase conversion

Rates.

Analytics

○ Track and analyze site performance metrics (e.g., click-through rates, conversion rates)

to identify areas for optimization and growth.

○ Provide performance reports with actionable insights on successes and areas for

improvement.

○ Leverage data-driven insights to continuously refine site merchandising strategies and

enhance the overall customer experience.

○ Conduct A/B tests and experiments to assess different merchandising tactics, layouts,

and content, implementing successful changes to improve conversion rates.

Skills And Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in eCommerce, merchandising, or a similar role.
  • In-depth experience with Tik Tok, Shopify required – utilizing apps, analytics and A/B testing to drive documented sales growth in the DTC channel. Experience with FBA a plus.
  • Experience working in the DTC environment with consumer goods, preferably in apparel and most specifically in sports apparel.
  • Analytics experience using data and metrics to measure and optimize program performance.
  • Proven ability to manage and execute merchandising strategies within a fast-paced, dynamic
  • Environment.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with experience working cross-functionally.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
  • Simultaneously.
  • An ability to deep dive into performance data on a daily basis to draw conclusions and make
  • optimization recommendations.
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Location:

Remotely based with willingness to travel for regular offsites and other business-related destinations.

Compensation & Benefits

The pay range listed reflects the pay range for this position. The annual base salary for this role is $80,000-95,000, plus our comprehensive benefits package. Actual compensation to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based on geographic location, work experience, education and/or skill level, among other things.

Salary offers are made based on the candidate's equivalent experience and internal equity with other employees within the same job classification. Individual pay is adjusted as performance is demonstrated and sustained at increasingly competent levels over time. With approval, experienced employees with critical skills may be hired above this guideline.
