Python Developer with Electrical Grid Expertise

¿What would you be doing in your day a day? 

Abylsen is looking for a skilled Python Developer with Electrical Grid Expertise to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Low Voltage (LV) electrical grid operations and solid proficiency in Python development. You will work on developing and maintaining software solutions that integrate with electrical grid monitoring and analysis systems. This role is ideal for candidates passionate about power systems, real-time data processing, and software engineering.

• Develop and maintain Python-based software for electrical grid monitoring and analysis.
• Utilize Digital Signal Processing (DSP) techniques for real-time waveform analysis of currents and voltages.
• Work in a Linux-based development environment, ensuring software reliability and performance.
• Develop and optimize scripts for automation using Shell scripting.
• Collaborate with teams working on embedded systems, ensuring efficient applications for resource-constrained devices.
• Implement secure communication protocols such as MQTTS, HTTPS, SFTP, and SSH.
• Utilize Docker for containerized application development and deployment.
• Manage codebase using Git and work within a recommended VSCode development environment.

 What do we need from you? 

• A degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• +5 years of experience in Python development with an electrical engineering focus.
• Strong knowledge of Low Voltage (LV) electrical grid operations.
• Proficiency in Python programming.
• Experience in Digital Signal Processing (DSP) for real-time data analysis.
• Strong background in Linux-based development environments.
• Fluent english is a MUST.
• Desirable knowledge of communication protocols like MQTTS, HTTPS, SFTP, and SSH.
