Our Senior Procurement Manager oversees procurement activities across the business for goods not for re-sale (GNFR), in the UK and overseas markets that we trade in, ensuring that we drive competitive advantage in cost, service and driving optimal purchasing solutions.
Leading a small team and partnering with business functions, our Senior Procurement Manager will play a key role in developing and implementing procurement process improvements and be responsible for supplier management processes on an ongoing basis.
This is a permanent, full time role based in Cornwall or the South West of the UK.
You’ll help us by:
You’ll develop a centralised GNFR procurement and supplier management function which both supports the business on procurement activities, and ensures that we get the best value from suppliers throughout the length of contracts. You’ll also ensure that strategic sourcing processes are used for business critical, higher risk and high value goods and services. Managing supplier audits and compliance checks, you’ll ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to our ethical standards.
You’ll drive robust supplier spend analysis, working closely with Finance to establish a framework that prioritises the team’s time and identifies cost-saving opportunities, while ensuring strong links between procurement activities. You’ll develop, implement, and refine category management plans and procurement strategies that deliver cost-effective, high-quality solutions aligned with Seasalt’s objectives.
You’ll ensure procurement records and contracts (including the contract database) are appropriately managed and maintained, including ensuring all regulatory compliance is up-to-date and accurate. You’ll ensure procurement practices adhere to company policies, industry standards, and relevant legislation, and you’ll prepare procurement reports for leadership, highlighting key metrics, savings, supplier performance, and any risks or challenges.
Developing a strong network of relationships internally, you’ll drive awareness and adherence to our procurement processes and best practices. You’ll also partner with the business to identify and deliver procurement opportunities that bring value to the business. Externally, you’ll build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, ensuring optimal performance and value.
You’ll manage, lead and develop a small team, fostering a culture of commerciality and pragmatism, continuous learning and professional growth. ensuring regular feedback and 121s are undertaken.
