Job description

Lenovo is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Public Sector / Smart Cities AI Technologist to join our Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG) AI team. In this role, you will be responsible for architecting and executing the business development activities for our NA AI program focused on NVIDIA AI technologies for the Public Sector and Smart Cities. This role will focus on growing revenue, mind and market share of Lenovo’s NVidia AI business within the Public Sector and Smart Cities space. You will leverage your deep understanding of AI technologies, market trends and business development activities to collaborate in the development of Lenovo’s AI strategy for the Public Sector and Smart Cities space. You will be responsible for fostering business relationships with our Public Sector customers, driving AI opportunities within the Public Sector and Smart Cities space, identifying key Smart Cities AI ISVs to partner with, and positioning Lenovo’s AI Hardware, Software, Solutions and Services portfolio to the Public Sector and within the Smart Cities space.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Leverage your understanding of the Public Sector and Smart Cities space to identify trends and regulatory requirements to create go-to-market strategies and value propositions around Lenovo’s NVIDIA-based AI solutions for our Manufacturing customers.
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive offerings to identify growth opportunities for Lenovo’s AI offerings within the Public Sector and Smart Cities space.
  • Work within a cross functional team to identify, qualify and drive opportunities for sales of Lenovo AI systems, software, solutions, and services to the Public Sector and within the Smart Cities space.
  • Develop and deliver compelling Public Sector and Smart Cities space AI solution sales collateral for use by Lenovo sellers and channel partners.
  • Provide technical training, support, and resources to Lenovo sellers and channel partners to enhance their ability to sell and implement Lenovo’s Nvidia-based AI solutions to the Public Sector and within the Smart Cities space.
  • Identify compelling NVidia-based Public Sector and Smart Cities AI ISVs and solutions that Lenovo can help bring to market.
  • Represent Lenovo at various industry and channel partner events, articulating the Lenovo AI story for the Public Sector and within the Smart Cities space.
  • Provide feedback to internal product, marketing, and sales teams to optimize offerings and strategies.



Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a relevant experience.
  • 7+ years’ experience working in or selling to the Public Sector in a technical capacity (mandatory).
  • 5+ years of experience with AI solutions (mandatory)




Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of AI hardware and software solutions, including server and storage infrastructure, NVidia GPUs, AI frameworks, and deployment models.
  • Strong understanding of AI technologies and their use in the Public Sector.
  • Ability to work with, and provide guidance to, cross functional sales and technical teams
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and project management abilities.
  • Ability to analyze market trends to develop and execute strategic technology initiatives.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast paced and constantly changing environment.
  • Ability to travel as needed (30-40% expected – US and Canada)
  • High level of commitment to exceptional customer service and relationship building


The base salary range budgeted for this position is 124,700 - 158,000. Individuals may also be considered for bonuses and/or commissions. Lenovo’s various benefits can be found at www.lenovobenefits.com.
