What Are We Looking For?

We are looking for a leader who can grow and lead a team of globally-distributed researchers and engineers to further advance this mission. The SentinelOne AI Team undertakes both tactical and strategic projects, aimed at delivering products and enhancing SentinelOne’s AI capabilities.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • a strong track record of managing groups of engineers and researchers
  • a track record of turning AI/ML research into operational capabilities
  • a strategic understanding of applying AI/ML technology to cybersecurity
  • strong software engineering fundamentals
What Will You Do?

As a Senior Manager, you will lead a group of researchers and engineers charged with creating next-generation AI capabilities for SentinelOne. In the course of this, you will:

  • Take responsibility for the delivery of long and short term projects, including:
    • Improving assistant behavior through privacy preserving feedback
    • Agentic workflows for data analysis and response
    • Methods for ranking diverse work items to maximize security
    • Novel LLM-based capabilities for security

  • Lead Collaboration and communication: collaborating closely with other group members and stakeholders including project managers, product owners, and other engineering teams; ensuring that technical options and decisions and project timelines are clearly communicated to all stakeholders and completed on-time and on-budget.

  • Model Continuous Learning and Skill Development: helping the group and the broader team to stay up-to-date with the latest tools and techniques in both the machine learning and security fields; fostering a culture of continuous learning and skill development; mentoring more junior colleagues
What Skills and Experience Will You Need?
  • Master’s Degree in a quantitative science or engineering field.
  • 7+ years of experience solving complex problems using modern AI/ML techniques; at least five of them managing teams.
  • Experience with the full software development lifecycle, from requirement gathering, research, design, implementation, testing, through deployment/launch and operation
  • Comfort working cross-functionally with Product and other Engineering teams. 
  • Ability to communicate project needs, status, outcomes and implications to technical and non-technical audiences, inside and outside the company. 

Candidates with any of the the following will be preferred: 

  • Strong demonstrated expertise in complex technical project planning and execution
  • Expertise in natural language processing, especially practical experience developing or tuning modern, transformer-based language or multi-modal models
  • Experience developing complex applications leveraging API-based LLMs
  • Representation learning from scratch, especially for temporal sequences, multi-modal objects.
  • Lifelong learning systems driven by implicit and explicit product feedback
  • Practical reinforcement learning techniques.

This U.S. role has a base pay range that will vary based on the location of the candidate.  For some

locations, a different pay range may apply.  If so, this range will be provided to you during the recruiting

Base Salary Range
$211,600$291,000 USD
