Proofreader

bswift is seeking an experienced proofreader to join our team. In this role, you'll ensure our client communication materials and internal marketing/sales enablement assets are clear, accurate, and aligned with brand guidelines. You'll be the final set of eyes on materials that inform, engage, and inspire employees nationwide. This position requires precision, adaptability, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with quick turnarounds — especially during our busy annual enrollment season.

Key Responsibilities

-Review and proofread a wide range of client communication materials, including brochures, websites, postcards, emails, guides, and more.

-Ensure all content adheres to client-provided style guides and brand guidelines.

-Proofread internal marketing and sales enablement materials for accuracy, grammar, and clarity.

-Correct spelling, punctuation, and grammatical errors while ensuring consistency in tone and language.

-Verify facts, figures, and references for accuracy and alignment with client requirements.

-Follow AP Stylebook standards to maintain editorial consistency.

-Collaborate with writers, designers, and project managers to deliver polished, professional materials.

-Manage multiple projects under tight deadlines, especially during our busy annual enrollment period.

Qualifications

-10-15 years of experience as a professional proofreader or editor.
-Strong knowledge of AP Stylebook guidelines.
-Proven ability to maintain focus and attention to detail in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
-Experience working with diverse content formats, from print materials to digital campaigns.
-Exceptional communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

Standard working hours are 8am-5pm Central Time, unless otherwise stated in the Job Description. 

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary range for this position is $73,000-$83,000, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses.  If you are hired at bswift, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors – we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth. We also offer a generous compensation and benefits package!
