Job description

A technical project manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of technical projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals by defining project objectives, scope, and deliverables, while managing resources, risks, and communicating effectively with all stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle

Essential Functions: In addition to working as prescribed in our Performance Factors specific responsibilities of this role include:

  • Develop and maintain project plans, milestones, timelines, and budgets to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders and leadership in a clear and concise manner.
  • Facilitate project meetings and ensure action items are tracked and completed on time.
  • Manage project scope and change requests to ensure project goals are met within budget and timeline constraints.
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path activities to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Continuously improve project management processes and tools to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Lead and manage multiple technical projects simultaneously.
  • Monitor project progress, milestone attainment, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and align with business goals.

Minimum Requirements:

Education/Experience/Certification Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • 4-7+ years of experience in project management.
  • Proven experience as a Product Manager, preferably in a technical or software-focused role.
  • Proven ability to plan, execute, and monitor projects according to established methodologies
  • Strong understanding of product management principles and methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into business value.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in product management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Aha!).
  • Experience with agile development methodologies.
  • Strong leadership and project management abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  •  MBA or relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner) are a plus.
