Student, Property and Casualty Insurance Advisor

Temporary position for 12 months.

The Property and Casualty Insurance Advisor, contributes to enhancing the experience of a life event, such as the purchase of a new vehicle or a home by preparing premium quotes and issue insurance contracts. Advisors are called upon to assess the specific needs of each member and client, and provide support in choosing the appropriate coverage, while promoting our personalized services. Needs include follow up on files, analyze renewals requiring special underwriting, and correct contracts as needed. The goal is to maintain the business relationship and be first in the hearts of our clients. At Desjardins, our insurance agents are evaluated on human objectives that enable them to deliver quality service. More specifically, you will be required to:

• Serve members and clients, assess their needs, promote insurance products and help members and clients choose coverage

• Prepare quotes and issue insurance contracts

• Follow up on files, analyze renewals requiring special underwriting, and correct contracts as needed

• Respond to information requests and amend contracts to ensure client satisfaction and retention

• Develop business partnerships to generate referrals

What you bring to the table

• College diploma in a related field

• A minimum of two years of relevant experience
