Job description

Specialty Program Group (SPG) is the wholesale & MGA division of HUB International. SPG acts in a holding company capacity acquiring best in class underwriting businesses to operate independently under discrete brands (portfolio companies).

Position Overview:

We are looking for an innovative trainer to design training programs for strategic Operations and Underwriting platforms. The trainer is responsible for ensuring that new & existing employees receive effective system training to prepare them for their role and successful system use.

Reporting to the Business Process Manager, the Operations Training Specialist will be the primary technical trainer for enterprise systems and tools. The Operations Training Specialist will be a subject matter expert, educator, and agency technology and workflow design facilitator. They will be the primary resource for training employees on Aim, ImageRight, NetRate, VPI, and other underwriting tools. The trainer will work closely with the Corp IT, Software vendors, Division Operation leads, and System implementation teams to support training needs and system implementation initiatives.

Job Functions

  • Create and facilitate platform training plans and schedules to ensure successful training of enterprise platform tools.

  • Oversee and coordinate AIM/ImageRight training for all users including enhancements and upgrades.

  • Demonstrate a consultative approach by assessing employee learning competencies on agency management systems, workflow, and other strategic platforms.

  • Partner with Operations Excellence teams to design system workflows maximizing platform features to drive optimized business processes.

  • Lead system demos meetings for new acquisition highlighting core system functions and capabilities.

  • Implement best practice workflow and processes to ensure effective use of system capabilities.

  • Prepare post training certification and skill gap analysis to enhance future training.

  • Develop reporting tools to monitor platform usage to ensure data quality and compliance to best practices.

  • Participate in user acceptance testing to support conversion projects and system enhancements.

  • Commitment to become a subject matter expert on corporate applications and tools.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

  • 3 years Insurance experience within Wholesale, MGA, or Retail Agency.

  • 3 years facilitating presentations and training programs to end users and servicing centers.

  • Experience with AMS360, AIM, and ImageRight.

  • Self- motivated with ability to work independently and within a team structure.

  • Skilled in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint, and MS Teams.

  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills necessary for interaction with employees, creating structured learning material, and providing training methods to learners at various levels.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Disclosure required under applicable state or municipality regulations: The expected salary range for this position is $80,000 to $90,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level.
