The Job:  

As a Software Engineering Manager, you’ll be part of our Construction Technology team, working as a remote employee.   We are looking for a hands-on Software Engineering Manager in .NET to work on our MSuite product offerings in the area of Construction Technology. You’ll be part of a cross-functional team that’s responsible for the full software development life cycle, from conception to deployment working with the design, product, test and devops teams. You’ll get to:  

Technical Leadership responsibilities include:

  • Clear communications to parties involved
  • Provide guidance and direction to developers including detailed problem solving, pair programming and writing the highest quality code as an example to others
  • Adhere to/propose coding standards and development best practices
  • Deliver the most robust, maintainable and highest-quality software possible

Execution Leadership responsibilities include:

  • Planning and prioritizing work
  • Allocation of assignments to team members
  • Clear communications with onshore team members as well as offshore team members
  • Tracking the execution of the project, keep track of group performance metrics
  • Collaborate closely with other teams involved in execution
  • Operate as an Individual Contributor as much as possible

People Leadership responsibilities include:

  • Modeling the right cultural attributes and Stanley Black and Decker values
  • Coach the team members to each be independent leaders and responsible team members
  • Caring for the team members needs
  • Assist in career development of team members

The Person:

  • Proven experience in hands on Architecting, Designing and Developing C# applications, from Windows desktop programming to Full-Stack cloud development
  • Experience in mentoring team members and managing multiple tasks effectively
  • Deep experience in effort estimation, agile and/or waterfall development, quality control methodologies
  • Ability to extract technical details from ambiguous environment
  • Positive attitude with passion for customer value
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Experience with 3D geometric concepts a Bonus
  • Experience with Autodesk Revit a Bonus

The base pay range for this position in Maryland is $ 108,000.00 - 194,400.00 USD per year. Pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on payment may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
