Job description

The National Rehabilitation Team is looking for a self-motivated individual to join their team as a Functional Rehabilitation Specialist. In this role you will chip in to the overall profitability of Group Disability by facilitating more timely return to work for plan members. 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, monitor, and implement innovative and goal-oriented return to work focused rehabilitation strategies for plan members

  • Provide effective communication to policy holders and members, and various medical professionals, often delivering sophisticated and/or difficult messages

  • Frequent collaboration with case managers

  • Vendor and budget management: ensuring the most effective and efficient treatments are available to our plan members

Qualifications

  • Related University degree, preference will be given to those candidates with Health Sciences related education and direct experience in a rehabilitation setting

  • Sound knowledge of Rehabilitation Industry Standards, Disability Insurance and medical terminology, and Disability and Rehabilitation management standard methodologies

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

Salary range is expected to be between

$50,700.00 CAD - $84,500.00 CAD
