Due to continued growth we have a fantastic opportunity for a consultant to join the Comms-care consulting practice to act as a Consultant, specialising in Microsoft Cloud Security.

Responsibilities
Principal responsibilities but not limited to the following:

  • Act as technical authority and ‘evangelist’ for chosen subject matter
  • Work alongside the business strategy team, supporting the development of the business-wide solutions and services strategy
  • Work alongside the architecture team to identify, develop and promote chosen subject matter solutions within our customer base, owning the ongoing solutions portfolio
  • Technically manage the lifecycle of chosen subject matter focused solutions
  • Provide a technical governance overlay for active projects
  • Provide technical mentoring to Technical Consultants and Systems Engineers
  • Act as the design authority for a programme of inter-related projects
  • Lead with qualification of designs and opportunities
  • Lead and present at customer opportunities and workshop sessions
  • Host customer strategy meetings, including presenting solutions from a commercial and business perspective
  • Lead and contribute to Statement of Works and Invitations to Tender
  • Build and maintain a strong relationship with the channel partners internal technical team
  • Maintain high level of industry awareness through training and self-development; keep up-to-date with current and future technologies, products and strategies
  • Undertake individual consultancy assignments, analysing customer requirements, gathering and analysing data and recommending solutions
  • Ensure consultancy assignments are undertaken consistently and with quality
  • Produce and update assignment documentation as required
  • Ensure that hand over to relevant support organisation is successfully completed

Experience and Qualifications

As a Consultant you should be considered an expert in the design and deployment of Microsoft Cloud Security focused solutions that encompass the following capabilities:

  • Azure Active Directory (incl. P2 features)
  • Azure Network Security
  • Microsoft Defender External Attack Surface Management
  • Microsoft Defender for Cloud
  • Microsoft Defender for CloudApps
  • Microsoft Defender for Endpoint
  • Microsoft Defender for Identity
  • Microsoft Defender for Office 365
  • Microsoft Entra Permissions Management
  • Microsoft Purview (desirable)
  • Microsoft Sentinel (desirable)
  • GitHub Advanced Security (desirable)

Desirable Qualifications

  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Security Administrator Associate
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate

Knowledge, Skills and Characteristics

  • Five or more years of experience in a technical consulting type role
  • Excellent communicator both verbally and written
  • Experienced, mature, influential, assertive and diplomatic
  • Able to operate independently or as part of a larger team
  • Able to technically manage other people on large scale projects
  • Able to network with industry peers and customers
  • Industry leading knowledge of chosen subject matter
  • A flexible approach to work and prepared 'go the extra mile' to exceed customer expectations
