Your role:

As a Cloud Engineer II, you will implement, maintain, monitor, and optimize our on-prem and cloud environments used across the company. This role is vital in technical discussions with multi-functional teams, creating solutions that ultimately lead to better products and better working environments.

Above all you will be expected to carry out all your activities with reliability, integrity, compliance, and in a safe, environmentally responsible, and efficient manner.

Your responsibilities:

  • Own the management of physical and virtual servers both on-premises and hosted in Azure as well as all Azure IaaS/PaaS services, VDI, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and other core infrastructure.
  • Manage our authentication and authorization in Entra ID including SSO (SAML, OAuth, OIDC, Kerberos, etc), multi-factor authentication, and role based access control.
  • Use monitoring tools to optimize performance, cost, and availability of infrastructure resources
  • Ensure security through proper certificate and secret management across on-prem and cloud
  • Patch and upgrade servers and infrastructure software to maintain compliance
  • Lifecycle management of server hardware, including coordination and occasional travel to locations across North America
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend new technology solutions aligned with business objectives
  • Create and maintain documentation for standard policies, procedures, and practices
  • Respond to escalated tickets working directly with end users to resolve issues or requests
  • Participate in an after-hours support rotation

Essential skills and experience:

  • 5+ years experience as a Systems Administrator or Cloud Engineer
  • Expert knowledge of Windows server operating systems, Hybrid Active Directory, Azure IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS services
  • Advanced understanding of Entra ID, federation protocols, and single sign-on implementation
  • Comprehensive M365 administration expertise
  • Experience with virtualized environments - Nutanix, VMWare and/or Azure Local
  • Knowledge of Azure backup, recovery, and business continuity solutions
  • Strong knowledge of security best practices for on-prem and cloud environments
  • Expertise with PowerShell, Bash, or Python
  • Understanding of networking technology
  • Thorough knowledge of MECM (SCCM) and Intune
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to clearly document processes

Good to have:

  • Microsoft Azure certifications
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation tools
  • Knowledge of machine learning, AI, IoT, and emerging technologies
  • Experience with Microsoft security technologies including Defender, Sentinel, and security compliance tools
  • Experience or Training in Design Thinking
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field

Competitive Compensation:

We provide market-driven base pay, based on skills, abilities, and level of experiences. Our salary ranges are broad, and individual salary will be market competitive based on a candidate’s unique set of skills and level of experience. The starting range for this position is $102,600.00 - $136,896.10, with additional earning potential possible commensurate with experience. Additionally, we believe that our team members are the reason for our success and all team members are incentive eligible with a target based on contribution, company performance, and individual results achieved. While the specific bonus plan and target amount will be determined based on the role and breadth of contributions, the targeted bonus plan and targeted percentage amount for this role is Bonus - MIP, 15% Annual.
