WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING
  • Revenue Recognition and Compliance
  • Lead the revenue recognition process, ensuring compliance with ASC 606 and other relevant standards.
  • Review customer contracts to identify performance obligations and allocate revenue accordingly.
  • Maintain and reconcile deferred revenue schedules and oversee the monthly revenue close process.
  • Provide technical accounting guidance for new product launches and pricing models.

  • Billing and Systems Management
  • Oversee billing operations to ensure accurate and timely invoicing for subscription and usage-based
  • services.
  • Leverage expertise in NetSuite to optimize revenue management workflows and reporting processes.
  • Partner with IT, Coudops and finance teams to enhance ERP and CRM integrations, driving process automation and efficiency.
  • Financial Reporting and Metrics Analysis
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue reports for management and external stakeholders.
  • Analyze revenue trends and provide actionable insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Track and report key SaaS metrics such as MRR, ARR, churn, and customer lifetime value.
  • Audit and Compliance Support
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls for revenue processes and collaborate on compliance efforts.
  • Support external audits by providing detailed documentation and analyses for revenue accounts.
  • Team Leadership and Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Manage and mentor a team of revenue accountants, fostering professional development and growth.
  • Build and maintain a high-performing team, providing clear direction, feedback, and support.
  • Collaborate with sales, legal, and customer success teams to evaluate revenue impacts of contracts, promotions, and renewals.
  • Act as a strategic partner in the evaluation of pricing strategies and revenue-related initiatives.

  • WHAT WILL YOU BRING
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification required.
  • 8+ years of experience in accounting, with a focus on revenue recognition and SaaS operations.
  • Proven experience managing direct reports, with strong leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Expertise in NetSuite, with the ability to leverage its functionalities for revenue management (ARM) and reporting.
  • Deep knowledge of ASC 606, GAAP, and subscription-based revenue models.
  • Experience with financial systems such as Zuora or Salesforce is a plus.
  • Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with data visualization tools.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Experience with audit processes and SOX compliance preferred.
