About the Role

This role requires the candidate to be experienced in DevOps applications and Server administration with deep involvement in software engineering processes and tools deployment, Monitoring Harman software engineering teams' productivity and user experience in multiple business units with different functions across the divisions, focusing on both Process and DevOps tools. A DevOps platform engineer within the team will be exposed to day-to-day activities such as: CI/CD build stages, server application deployment, Server maintenance performance tuning & reliability optimization (in test and production environments).

What You Will Do

  • Sound knowledge and working experience with application technologies such as Github, Gerrit, Jenkins, Bamboo, Bitbucket , Jira, Confluence & Artifactory tools.
  • 5+ Experience in CI/CD processes and practices, Build , Test & Deploy (SAST Code review – Codesonar , FOSS- Synopsys Detect).
  • Proficiency on Scripting/programing languages JavaScript, Perl, PowerShell, Bash, Python to automate the CI/CD pipeline.
  • Good understanding of distributed version control systems like GIT,Kubernetes, Kafka , Ansible & Docker– Service enablement .
  • Experience in designing, developing, and implementing the best practices and automation for the DevSecOps pipeline.
  • Ability to work with large and complex data sets , Proficiency in MS – Excel  & data Visualizations tools (Power BI ,etc ).
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) security best practices.

  

What You Need to Be Successful

  • Defining the best class in DevOps process, analyzing DevSecOps process and gaps.
  • Stay Updated on emerging security threats and technologies.
  • Utilize the various open source secure technologies.
  • Develop the scripts and automate different efforts using PowerShell/Python/Bash/Linux .
  • Understand how the various systems works and how IT operations are managed.
  • Manage source control including Gerrit, Bitbucket and GIT .
  • Develop automation that flow through a complete end-to-end process
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies such as SCRUM & KANBAN , Capable of developing, analysing specifications and requirements.
  • Experience and sound knowledge of software development tools , SCM, Release Management, Unit Test, Integration Test, SW Validation, emulators, compilers, Software testing.
  • Expert knowledge of software development processes and Ability to read Schematics/Analytics.
  • Working knowledge of embedded and PC operating systems.
  • Provide technical leadership and set priorities/work assignments for the DevOps team.
  • Work with development teams to support Software/ DevSecOps business as usual.
  • Create and maintain DevSecOps development plans and schedules.
  • Responsible for tracking, implementing and leading the team in technical DevOps improvements.
  • Responsible for providing the trainings on DevSecOps tools and process.
  • Identifies DevOps requirements and performance issues Appdynamics/ Splunk . Collaborate with internal and external teams as necessary to resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Design and implement automated deployment and management solutions for applications on a Kubernetes cluster, leveraging Ansible playbooks to define configuration and deployment steps across multiple nodes in a consistent and repeatable manner.
  • Perform work in KanBan – ALM ticketing system to address maintenance and support issues.
  • Experience using AWS, GCP and/or Azure.
  • Experience configuring Apache and/or Nginx.
