Metabase is looking for a Business Operations Associate to run our customer billing and renewals operations. The role will sit within our Business Operations and Finance team, which ensures that things run smoothly for our customers and other internal teams.
You will own billing and renewal operations for our 4000+ customers across 20+ countries. This will range from the day-to-day work of setting up new customers and responding to billing queries, to the big picture of automating our processes and enabling us to grow efficiently.
In addition, you will manage some of the back office processes which ensure things run smoothly for our customers, such as maintaining our SOC2 compliance and assisting in configuring contracts for new customers.
This is a great opportunity for a driven generalist with strong project management and quantitative skills, who wants to get exposure to the operations of a rapidly-growing business. We are a small team, so you should be prepared to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in where you are needed.
Responsibilities
Manage billing queries from our customers around the world
Set up new Enterprise customer accounts, and work with our Sales team to manage Enterprise customer renewals
Assist Sales by configuring contracts for Enterprise customers
Follow-up with customers who are behind on payment
Manage and maintain our SOC2 compliance, including project-managing our annual audit
Work with our Product and Engineering teams to automate our billing processes, identifying areas for improvement and writing clear, concise requirements documents
Develop financial and operational reports
About you
3+ Years in operations, finance, or a consulting role. Strong preference for prior experience in a fast-paced startup environment.
Highly organized and able to juggle competing priorities
Strong quantitative skills. You should be able to resolve complex billing issues and analyze datasets to draw conclusions. Excel / Google Sheets fluency is a must.
Strong communication skills and customer sensitivity. You will be working directly with a wide range of customers and stakeholders.
