Job description

  1. Set up books for start businesses: real estate rental and property investment company and equity investment company
  2. Defining a Chart of Accounts (COA): Setting up list of all the accounts that each business uses to track its financial transactions, categorized into assets, liabilities, equity, revenue, and expenses
  3. Collaborate with client to establish Double-Entry Bookkeeping: Educating client on how to do this properly and setting up the books according to this method
  4. Establishing Accounting Policies: Working with client to decide, and advising on, how specific transactions will be recorded, such as how to handle depreciation, inventory, or revenue recognition.
  5. Setting up Ledgers and Journals: Setting up digital records where financial transactions are initially recorded and then organized for reporting.
  6. Accounting Calendar: Advising on defining Functional Currency and Accounting Calendar
  7. Financial Statements: Producing 2024 full year financial statements, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
  • 1-2 years experience as Bookkeeper / Accountant
  • Proficient in Quickbooks
  • Ideally someone who has set up/managed books for an investment type of business.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial record-keeping.
  • Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records.
