Trust and Identity in Internet2 seeks an experienced Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to bridge the gap between business needs and technology solutions. The ideal candidate will collaborate with stakeholders to analyze business processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement system solutions that drive operational efficiency.

The Business Systems Analyst (BSA) represents a unique blend of collaboration skills, business modeling, technical knowledge, process analysis, team facilitation, and change leadership that will play a key role in the establishment and evolution of programs at Internet2.

  • This position will bridge the gap between the goals and ambitions of business and technical projects and the specific requirements necessary to fully realize the benefits.
  • The BSA will assist service and operations owners in writing user stories and use cases and then translate the user stories and use cases into technical requirements.
  • The BSA will guide the necessary business model and process changes necessary to support technical enhancements.
  • The BSA will work with management, business, community members and contract staff to bring new initiatives to fruition.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or similar role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent documentation and technical writing abilities.
  • Proficiency in requirements gathering techniques and business process modeling.
  • Familiarity with RFC-2119 documentation standards and definition of traceable requirements.
  • Experience with various project management methodologies and their associated resulting artifacts (Agile, Waterfall).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences and vice-versa.
  • Proficiency in common business analysis frameworks, and relevant business analysis tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with process mapping, and the commonly associated tools (eg. Visio, Lucidchart, Draw.io, …).
  • Familiarity with database, data management, and enterprise data management concepts.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems and business applications definition, development and delivery phases. 
  • Background in change management and training delivery.

Salary Range / Pay Grade:

$92,800 - $139,200 / B-7

Starting pay is typically from the minimum up to the midpoint of the grade range and varies based on experience.
