Job Description

We’re seeking a detail-oriented and adaptable Bookkeeper to join our innovative team. In this role, you’ll be instrumental in managing the financial records for our real estate investments and IT services operations. You’ll have the exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge accounting software like Xero and QuickBooks, handling everything from day-to-day transactions to preparing financial reports for strategic decision-making. This position offers a perfect blend of hands-on financial management and the chance to contribute to the growth of multiple business ventures.

Responsibilities
  • Masterfully input and organize financial data into Xero for our dynamic real estate investment projects
  • Take charge of setting up and maintaining accurate books in QuickBooks for our established IT services business
  • Efficiently process and categorize a wide range of expenses, including contractor payments and material purchases for house flipping projects
  • Perform regular bank reconciliations and transaction matching to ensure financial accuracy across all business entities
  • Create comprehensive financial reports that provide clear insights into our business performance
  • Collaborate closely with external accountants to optimize our financial structure and ensure compliance
  • Develop and maintain organized systems for tracking contractor information and streamlining payment processes
  • Balance ongoing bookkeeping tasks with exciting catch-up projects to bring all financial records up to date


Requirements
  • Proven proficiency in Xero accounting software, with the ability to navigate its features expertly
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks, with a willingness to expand your skills in this area
  • Sharp attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining 100% accuracy in all financial records
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to logically organize and interpret complex financial information
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members, clients, and accountants
  • Adaptability to work across various projects with different financial structures (LLC, S Corp)
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of hands-on bookkeeping experience, preferably in diverse business environments
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting
  • Flexibility to occasionally communicate during Eastern Time business hours
  • Strong commitment to confidentiality when handling sensitive financial information
  • Enthusiasm for learning and growing with a dynamic, entrepreneurial company
