Role: Salesforce Consultant - Education Cloud

Summary:


Gerent is seeking an experienced Salesforce Consultant with a strong Education Cloud background to join our team. As a Salesforce Consultant specializing in Education Cloud, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing innovative solutions that empower higher education institutions to optimize their Salesforce platform. Your expertise in Education Cloud, coupled with your deep understanding of Salesforce best practices, will be crucial in delivering tailored solutions that meet our clients' unique needs.


Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with clients to understand their educational objectives, business processes, challenges, and translate these into effective Education Cloud solutions.

  • Work with clients to solicit and develop business requirements and specifications, document process flows, and complete application design, application configuration, testing and deployment.

  • Facilitate business process analysis sessions, requirements gathering sessions, and develop and deliver key components of technology solutions.

  • Configure solutions on the Salesforce Education Cloud platform to meet requirements while ensuring solutions are effective in the long-term using declarative configuration, including Flow, OmniStudio and other out-of-the-box Education Cloud tools, whenever possible.

  • Lead the legacy data migration effort from the legacy education system to the new education Salesforce environment.

  • Analyze user stories and document work using customer and company-required documentation methodologies.

  • Mentor more junior members of the Business Analyst/Configurator population on how to perform their job functions and collaborate effectively as a team.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience working with Salesforce, with a focus on Education Data Architecture and/or Education Cloud.

  • 5+ years of relevant Salesforce experience

  • In-depth understanding of Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERDs) and proficiency in standard ERD notation.

  • Strong analytical skills – ability to analyze Salesforce objects/fields to determine their role within the broader data model.

  • Ability to determine custom object/field requirements to meet project objectives and align to customer use cases.

  • Strong presentation, communication (written and verbal), and interpersonal skills


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience and understanding of software development methodologies, e.g. Agile

  • Education Cloud Consultant certification highly preferred. Salesforce.com Advanced Administrator and/or Consultant (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, etc.) certifications preferred.

  • Certification and experience with Education Cloud components, especially OmniStudio, are highly preferred.

  • An understanding of data migration from a legacy system to a new Salesforce implementation is highly preferred

  • Communication and presentation skills — Must present complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences. 

  • Innovation, creativity, and problem-solving —  Should be willing to think outside the box when confronting project challenges, building out practice assets and defining methods to train delivery resources. 

  • Strategy - Must be able to lay out a strategy or roadmap for clients onboarding or amidst a digital transformation anchored in Financial Services use cases
