We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Senior Social Media Manager to join our team in Buenos Aires to manage our social media presence across Latin America, playing a pivotal role in continuing to build our brand in the region. This role will oversee social media strategy and execution across platforms like Instagram, X, YouTube, and TikTok, leading content development, community engagement, and performance analysis focusing on both awareness and customer acquisition. You will be working closely with a network of social teams, both globally and in other local markets, to increase engagement with the MUBI brand and leverage social media to achieve overall marketing and growth objectives.
This role will be based out of our Buenos Aires offices and requires 2 days per week on-site.
Setting the social media strategy and priorities for LATAM, defining long-term goals for growth in collaboration with MUBI’s Senior Director of Marketing, LATAM.
Overseeing and driving MUBI's organic social media presence in LATAM in collaboration with the social media manager and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and execution.
Adapting MUBI's brand identity and social voice for the local market, maintaining an engaged and active relationship with followers.
Developing and implementing strategies to grow and engage a large community of followers on each platform, driving steady increases in both volume and engagement.
Leading the launch and expansion of MUBI’s presence on TikTok, developing platform-specific strategies to drive awareness, engagement, and audience growth.
Establishing and maintaining an organized calendar for content development.
Analyzing and evaluating the quality of social content, posting strategy, and consumer engagement, providing regular performance reports/assessments to the larger team.
Guiding the creation of high-performing assets, both video and design, to be utilized across both organic and paid social channels.
Liaising with key social media influencers to amplify MUBI's brand presence in collaboration with the global brand team.
Supporting local programming initiatives through designated campaigns aimed at promoting and elevating MUBI's curation and content.
Assisting with the execution of additional promotions/campaigns to maximize subscriber acquisition and increase brand exposure.
Strategizing a sustained engagement plan for the MUBI Podcast Encuentros, ensuring consistent audience interaction and year-round growth in listeners, while aligning with LATAM's cultural landscape and MUBI's overall marketing and brand strategy.
Developing a robust regional social strategy that highlights and amplifies local distinctions, ensuring an authentic tone of voice tailored to each region.
5-10 years of related marketing/social media experience.
Significant experience managing social media platforms at a senior level for a brand or organization.
Ability to develop and execute high-level social media strategies that align with broader marketing goals and company objectives.
Experience in creating long-term plans for community growth, engagement, and customer acquisition.
Expert understanding of trends in the ever-changing digital/media landscape.
Ability to determine KPIs, evaluate campaign effectiveness, and optimize accordingly.
Demonstrated experience leading a team, and working with cross-functional teams.
Deep understanding of all major social media platforms (Instagram, X, YT, TikTok) and emerging trends in the social media landscape.
Strong writing and copywriting skills are required.
Video skills are a plus.
A passion for film with in-depth knowledge of cinema and international arthouse and independent films.
Highly tech-savvy digital enthusiasm.
You're a native Spanish speaker with fluency in English.
