Position Summary 

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Master Electrician to join our team. This role requires extensive travel across the Continental U.S., a demonstrated ability to handle complex electrical projects, ensure safety compliance, and work independently in diverse environments. The ideal candidate will hold a Master Electrician License in one, if not multiple, of the following states: CA, CO, MN, NJ, NY, MD, or MA. Additional state-specific licenses are a significant advantage.

Location 

Sparkfund is a remote-first company with a digital workplace built around emerging hub-offices; as a result, this role is flexible on location. However, candidates should be prepared for extensive travel, up to 100% as required. The role will involve travel to client work sites, including utility customer offices and project locations. Priority will be given to candidates located in California, Colorado, Pennsylvania, Texas, Kentucky, and Florida.

Key Responsibilities 
  • Help develop QA/QC plans for each project and lead QA/QC inspections and reporting in the field.
  • Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in commercial, industrial, and residential settings.
  • Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate execution of projects.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues, providing effective and timely solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal electrical codes and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure successful project completion.
  • Maintain and manage tools, equipment, and materials required for each project.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to apprentice electricians as needed.
  • Travel extensively (up to 100% as required), including weekends, to various job sites in the specified states.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Master Electrician License (Required).
  • Preferred states for licensure: California, Colorado, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, or Maryland.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Master Electrician.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and standards.
  • Experience with commercial solar projects.  
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 75%-100% of the time, including weekends, for extended periods.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with advanced electrical systems and technologies.
  • Proficiency in using electrical testing tools and software.
  • OSHA certification or other safety training credentials.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Compensation & Benefits
  • The salary range for this role is between $90,000 - $100,000/year
