The Impact Investment Analyst will play a key role in sourcing, evaluating, and managing impact investments while supporting portfolio management and strategic growth. This role is an opportunity to work on cutting-edge impact investments in Latin America and beyond, gaining experience in financial analysis, due diligence, and investment strategy.
Pipeline Development:
• Attend industry events, pitch fests, and networking sessions to identify investment opportunities.
• Conduct desk research to expand the Potencia network and perform competitor analysis.
• Participate in initial calls with startup founders and assess potential investments.
Due Diligence & Investment Support:
• Conduct market research and company background checks.
• Contribute to financial modeling, valuation, and investment memo drafting.
• Assist in the screening and evaluation of new investment opportunities.
Portfolio Management & Reporting:
• Collect, review, and manage data from portfolio companies.
• Support internal and external reporting on the Potencia investment portfolio.
• Maintain and improve Potencia’s data systems and investment tracking.
Operations & Logistics Support:
• Coordinate logistics for team travel and Potencia’s stakeholder events.
• Assist in communications efforts, liaising with external partners and media.
Education & Experience:
• 2+ years of business experience, preferably in finance, entrepreneurship, or impact investing.
• Hands-on experience with startups, venture funds, or impact-driven organizations.
• Lived experience in Latin America and familiarity with regional markets.
Technical Knowledge:
• Financial literacy: experience with financial statements, budget management, and impact metrics.
• Strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Airtable, Zoom, and Dropbox.
Languages:
• Fluent in English (for writing investment memos and team communication).
• Fluent in Spanish
• Portuguese desirable.
