Job Description
COMC is looking to hire a Creative Designer & Manager. This person will be responsible for steering creative direction and developing high-impact marketing assets that align with COMC’s brand objectives and strategic goals. This critical role encompasses graphic and motion design, management of internal and external content creators, as well as active collaboration with COMC’s growth and content marketing teams. The Creative Designer & Manager is an individual contributor reporting to the Director of Marketing.

The ideal candidate will be a highly creative and forward-thinking individual, with exceptional collaboration skills, attention to detail, and ability to thrive in a demanding, fast, and ever-changing environment.

Job Responsibilities
•    Provide strategic creative direction for marketing collateral aligned with COMC’s brand guidelines. 
•    Design visually engaging graphics and layouts for use across websites, email marketing, social media, and print. 
•    Design and animate high-impact explainer videos to educate users on the benefits of the COMC platform. 
•    Conceptualize and create engaging videos, animations, and illustrations for use across various digital platforms.  
•    Develop graphic templates for use by internal and external content creators. 
•    Oversee end-to-end project management of creative asset development for marketing campaigns and initiatives. 
•    Coordinate with printers or other key creative vendors, maintaining relationships with freelancers to supplement internal staff resources when needed. 
•    Collaborate with other members of the marketing team, COMC’s product team, as well as key stakeholders to evolve COMC’s branding and, where appropriate, develop new brand assets. 
•    Determine optimal organization, management, and distribution of creative assets. 
•    Manage members of the creative team, including content creators with background in graphic design, video, and copywriting.  
•    Uphold COMC values, quality standards, and exemplify C.A.R.D. culture.
•    Be a willing and collaborative partner to support all areas of the organization.
•    Maintains a high level of confidentiality.
•    Perform other duties as assigned.
 

Qualifications

Job Qualifications 
•    At least 5 years of graphic and motion graphic design experience, with an extensive portfolio of past creative work for brands across digital and print platforms.
•    High School Diploma/GED required. Bachelor’s degree in design or related field of study is preferred.
•    Advanced proficiency with industry-standard software such as Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro, as well as Canva.
•    Extensive experience in translating strategic brand and business goals into engaging creative that engages and inspires users to action. Strong attunement to customer needs and how they consume and engage with content across a variety of media.  
•    Prior project management experience, having led creative projects from conception through execution.  
•    Exceptional collaboration and communication skills as well as a very strong attention to detail.

Additional Qualifications
•    Experience with or interested in learning about the trading card industry. 
•    Knowledgeable about professional sporting industry (NBA, NFL, MLB, including Hockey and Soccer etc.) 
•    Knowledge in the non-sports card industry (Marvel, Entertainment, Trading Card Games, Pop Culture).
