Listening Evaluation Task – For Native Speakers – Remote

Summa Linguae Technologies https://summalinguae.com/ is seeking native speakers of European French, Canadian French, European Spanish, Dutch, Romanian, and Swedish for an Audio Evaluation Task!

Open to adults from all professions—just no linguists or translation professionals.

The task involves listening to short audio samples and rating them based on specific criteria. Simple instructions will be provided. You don't need to be experienced in annotation.

Task Details:

No text evaluation is required—ratings are based only on how the speech sounds, following the provided guidelines.
Full instructions and scoring criteria will be provided in the task protocol.
Each sample contains one sentence, lasting only a few seconds.
There are three evaluation types, with 20 sentences per task type.
Participants will rate each sample on a scale from 1 to 5, where 5 is the highest score.
The task will be performed on the client's platform.

Schedule & Requirements:

The task is available twice a month (mid and end of the month) from March to July.
Each session takes approximately 2 hours to complete.
Native speakers only, 18+ years old.
Must not be a linguist!
Must have sufficient English skills to understand instructions and provide written comments.
Payment rate to be discussed.
