About the role:
The mission of the Solutions Engineering team is to drive the adoption of LucidLink products. Solutions Engineers (SEs) partner closely with Account Executives, Industry Development Directors, Partner Channels and Customers during the pre-sales and proof of concept stages of the sales cycle. By participating in customer projects early, SEs enrich our discovery process so they can position, present, and demonstrate the efficiencies gained by using LucidLink Filespaces.
You will possess a strong technical background and be able to explain both the value and technical aspects of a SaaS software platform. This will balance with your background in sales and customer service, allowing you to help present product features and drive deals toward a close.
Reporting to the Senior Director of Solutions Engineering, you will join a global team of remote, technical, and creative experts with backgrounds in storage, information technology, cloud architectures, sales, software development, content creation, and product management.
This role will be based in the UK but could work with prospective customers in various countries across EMEA. We’re a global team with almost half our workforce located in the US. Occasional evening meetings may be required.
Key responsibilities:
Becoming a subject matter expert on LucidLink Filespaces technology.
Working with the internal sales team to follow LucidLink Sales Process Playbook.
Uncovering customer challenges and documenting into CRM systems (Salesforce).
“Value not features”: Ability to demonstrate an understanding of customer’s challenges by presenting a contextual story using LucidLink technology.
Accurately tracking proof of concepts to ensure expectations, success criteria and timeframes are met.
Consistent and high-quality collaboration with other LucidLink teams including Marketing, Product and Support.
Answering customer questions across a variety of subjects including recommendations of best practices, optimizations and workflow efficiencies.
Analyzing how customers are using our services and making recommendations based on the customer needs and providing feedback to business and development teams.
Working with LucidLink Customer Success teams to provide the best experience for our customers as they move from pre to post sales.
Occasional travel for industry events, and team gatherings.
Required skills:
Technical proficiency: A solid understanding of technical aspects enabling effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Communication skills: The ability to present and demonstrate complex technical information clearly both in person and online. The ability to adapt communication styles for different audiences, including creative, technical and business stakeholders.
Problem-solving skills: The capability to listen to and analyze customer requirements, identify challenges, and propose effective technical solutions that address customer needs.
Sales acumen: An understanding of the sales process, including the ability to collaborate with the sales team, contribute to sales strategies, and effectively position technical solutions to potential customers.
Customer-focused approach: A customer-centric mindset with strong active listening skills to understand and address customer pain points, fostering positive relationships and customer success.
Continuous learning: A commitment to staying updated on industry trends, new technologies, and product updates.
Required experience:
At least 4 years of experience as a Pre-Sales Engineer, customer facing technical support engineer or in a similar position
Understanding of storage technologies (NAS, SAN, Sync and Share, LucidLink)
Experience in macOS, Windows and Linux OS
Knowledge of command line, terminal or PowerShell processes
Experience in production, post-production, content creation or/or video/audio/graphics workflows
Nice-to-have:
Knowledge and certification of cloud environments (e.g. AWS, GCP etc), networking, and storage
Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud applications
Knowledge of Architecture, Engineering or Construction software tools and workflows
MEDDPICC Sales Methodology
Bilingual, French-speaking
