We are seeking a skilled Senior Automation Engineer with a strong background in Cypress to join our team. You will play a key role in developing and maintaining our automated testing framework, ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. The ideal candidate will have a passion for automation, a strong understanding of testing principles, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

The Senior Automation Engineer can be based any of our U.S. office locations (New York, NY; Philadelphia, PA; Boston, MA; Braintree, MA; Woburn, MA; Princeton, NJ; Whippany, NJ; East Brunswick NJ; Red Bank, NJ; Saddle Brook, NJ; Providence, RI; Baltimore, MD; Bethesda, MD; Nashville, TN; Boca Raton, FL; Orlando, FL; San Diego, CA; Los Angeles, CA; Orange County, CA; San Francisco, CA; San Ramon, CA; Portland, OR; Seattle, WA) or remotely anywhere within the US.

How You’ll Spend Your Time:

Designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts using Cypress for web applications
Leading and coordinating efforts with Automation Engineers in a collaborative way that emphasizes teamwork
Communicating effectively and presenting work to the client, including demonstrating the functionality and reliability of the automation solutions
Collaborating with QA and development teams to identify and prioritizing test cases for automation
Maintaining and enhancing existing automation frameworks and test suites
Analyzing test results, identifying issues, and reporting defects clearly and concisely
Participating in code reviews and ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices
Staying up to date with the latest testing tools, technologies, and industry trends.

The Kinds of People We Want to Talk to Have Many of the Following:

5-7 years of experience in software testing and automation.
Bachelor's degree preferred
Strong proficiency in Cypress and JavaScript.
Experience in designing and implementing test automation frameworks.
Familiarity with various testing methodologies and techniques (e.g., functional, regression, integration testing).
Understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to have:

Experience with other automation tools like Selenium.
Knowledge of API testing and performance testing.
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
Experience in testing web applications built with Angular or React.
Experience with Scrum teams and methodologies.

The compensation for this position will vary by location. If you reside in California, New York City, Washington D.C., Washington State, Massachusetts, Maryland, or Rhode Island please see below. In addition to the base compensation, Withum offers a competitive benefits package and bonus program (for eligible roles) based on individual and firm performance. NYC ranges are $75-90 per hour
California ranges are $75-90 per hour
Washington - Seattle ranges are $75-90 per hour
Washington DC ranges are $75-90 per hour
Maryland - Baltimore ranges are $75-90 per hour
Rhode Island – Providence ranges are $75-90 per hour
Massachusetts ranges are $75-90 per hour
