About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced technologist who can run the Confluent Cloud Security Platform. This is a critical domain for Confluent’s success and is an intersection between Engineering, Trust and Product organizations with strong relationships with broader GTM teams. The Security Platform team builds security products that help sell Confluent to the largest enterprises of the world and runs the infrastructure that powers high scale authorization and authentication systems for all of the Confluent Cloud resource footprint.

What You Will Do:

• Build a Cloud native Security platform with a regional infrastructure footprint to help scale Confluent Cloud into the new era of  streaming data services. 
• Uplevel and overhaul operational posture and excellence of the cloud platform to support 10x scale. 
• Deliver core security products and the infrastructure for internal authentication and authorization use cases - across top three cloud providers - AWS, Azure, GCP. 
• Partner with senior leadership in R&D to drive cultural, technical, people and process improvements in a growing organization. 
• Partner with CISO, Product Management and GTM organizations to deliver on top business priorities in the security, Trust and compliance domains. 

What You Will Bring:

• 10+  years of engineering leadership experience managing productive, collaborative, high-functioning teams and demonstrated experience delegating through Directors and Sr Managers. 
• Experience building, managing and running large scale distributed systems in the cloud. 
• Experience in building and running customer facing or internal facing identity, authorization and trust infrastructure. 
• Demonstrated experience in effectively influencing and working with the exec team using effective communication and collaborative techniques. 
• Demonstrated experience in partnering across functions and domains to deliver on business objectives and KPIs.

We analyze and carefully consider several factors when determining compensation, including work history, education, professional experience, and location. This position has an annual estimated salary of $321,800 - $386,100 and a competitive equity package. The actual pay may vary depending on your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location.
