Business Development Manager - Energy Solutions

Curtis Power Solutions 

Remote 

Compensation based on experience and skills ranging from $140,000-$200,000 per year 

The Power Generation Channel Business Development Manager will be responsible for evaluating and expanding Curtis Power Solutions' presence in the marketplace, leveraging our current portfolio of products and vendors. This role will also focus on identifying and integrating emerging power technologies to support industry trends and enhance our offerings.

Key Job Functions and Responsibilities: 


Business Development: 

  • Identify, recruit, and develop global growth channels; create business models and go-to-market strategies for the power generation sector.
  • Collaborate with regional sales teams for opportunity strategy alignment and execution.
  • Identify and address product and commercial gaps through sales, marketing, and product management.
  • Spot trends and new opportunities in the power generation market to align products, solutions, and offerings with emerging needs.
  • Develop demand creation campaigns with marketing teams and engage with channel partners to build the power generation pipeline. 

Channel Management:

  • Support sales with channel and key account development.
  • Monitor and improve channel performance using effective metrics (e.g., prospecting, win rate, customer satisfaction).
  • Create recovery plans for underperforming channels and share best practices across regions.
  • Provide input to leadership during strategic business reviews and ensure alignment across teams.

Sales:

  • Focus on pursuing, developing, and closing new opportunities within the energy solutions targeted market areas.

Application Support:

  • Offer technical design assistance and collaborate with sales and product teams to deliver solutions.

Requirements 
  • Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree, preferred
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, and Salesforce
  • Strong communication & customer service skills
  • This position requires occasional driving
