ROLE SUMMARY

The US Hemophilia franchise is one of the most rapidly growing businesses across US Commercial Division. The franchise is building on the strong legacy of Pfizer in the Hemophilia space with the recent launch of HYMPAVZI in Hemophilia A and B and requires a cohesive presence and continued demonstration of Pfizer’s commitment to the hemophilia community.

The Hemophilia Thought Leader Engagement Liaison (H-TLEL) will play a critical role by developing and supporting the development and execution of a best in class thought leader engagement plan for our Hemophilia portfolio.  This individual will create a first-class experience for Hemophilia external stakeholders advising and engaging with Pfizer’s Hemophilia team.  H-TLELs will be responsible for: establishing relationships; gathering insights on treatment patterns and habits; informing the development and execution of HCP and Patient commercial strategies/tactics; leading and supporting market planning for activities focused on the unique Hemophilia challenges of the local market or region.  This role will partner closely with the Hemophilia HCP Marketing and Consumer Leads, Hemophilia National and Regional Sales Directors, Medical, Market Access and Patient Affairs.

This role will report to Hematology TLEL Lead.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the Hemophilia market, demonstrate a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with Thought Leaders and Internal Pfizer customers. Analyze strategic data and create a business plan, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and develop, in partnership with key functions within the commercial team a One Pfizer approach that fully integrates Opinion Leader & key stakeholder engagement plans inclusive of physicians, KOLs, advanced practitioners, researchers, and patients to maximize the evolving Hemophilia portfolio in the US
  • Obtain therapeutic insights from Opinion Leaders and key stakeholders to help advance commercial brand strategies
  • Lead and direct insight-gathering from 1:1 engagements, small group meetings, and national and regional advisory boards for actionable commercial implementation
  • Oversee the development of Opinion Leader and key stakeholder engagement metrics such as post-engagement evaluation forms, post-congress Opinion Leader / PFE meeting evaluations, and annual top-tier opinion leader industry benchmark survey
  • Ensure Pfizer’s compliant contracting and FMV processes are triggered when initiating an engagement with a TL on Pfizer’s behalf or addressing TL’s request for a rate change.
  • Create and maintain up-to-date Hemophilia Opinion Leader & Key Stakeholder list, and track engagements

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, analyze strategic data and create a business plan, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact
  • Minimum of 8 years of Hemophilia Customer Facing Experience (Med, Commercial)
  • Strong knowledge of Hemophilia patient journey
  • Experience in sales, marketing, medical affairs, strategy, new product launch, customer engagement or business development in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries. and proven ability to build and maintain productive and collaborative relationships with key external and internal stakeholders, including key opinion leaders
  • Proven leadership skills while working in cross functional and matrix environment, with an ability to lead by influence
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, including capabilities for uncovering deep customer insights, and assessing complex business/customer situations and translating insights into actionable plans
  • Experience in the design, development and execution of opinion leader/local market engagement programs inclusive of tracking performance against goals and course correcting when needed
  • Track record of working well across internal and external stakeholders to include Marketing, Sales, Medical, Payer Access and Patient Navigator roles.
  • Experience representing novel opportunities/brand plans to senior leadership Demonstrated creativity in development and partnership collaborations on innovative programs
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills- thinks & communicates with the audience's needs first (i.e. ad boards)
  • BA/BS - degree required
  • Frequent travel of 50% is required to include weekend and evening engagements with Congresses and Ad Boards.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Advanced degree preferred. Science or clinical background a plus

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $169,700.00 to $282,900.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
