Your day at NTT DATA

The Level 3 Network Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining advanced network solutions with a focus on Cisco LAN (route switch) and Cisco wireless networks. This role requires exceptional skills in designing solutions, writing high-level and low-level designs, and deploying complex network solutions.

What you'll be doing

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deploy Cisco LAN (route/switch) and Cisco wireless network solutions, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
  • Develop high-level and low-level network designs, including detailed diagrams, configurations, and documentation.
  • Perform hands-on installation, configuration, and maintenance of network components such as routers, switches, and wireless access points.
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues related to Cisco LAN and wireless networks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of network solutions with other IT systems and applications.
  • Provide training and support to network engineers and administrators on best practices and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Conduct project planning, cost analysis, and vendor comparisons for network-related projects.
  • Ensure network security by implementing and maintaining security measures within the network environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in network engineering, with at least 3 years of experience in designing and deploying Cisco LAN (route/switch) and Cisco wireless networks.
  • Strong knowledge of Cisco networking technologies, including routers, switches, and wireless access points.
  • Experience with network protocols and technologies such as IP, VLAN, VXLAN, BGP, OSPF, and MPLS.
  • Proficiency in network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) certification.
  • Experience with automation and orchestration tools such as Ansible, Python, or Terraform.
  • Experience with Cisco Catalyst Center (formerly Cisco DNA Center).
  • Knowledge of cloud networking and hybrid cloud environments.
