The Team Lead oversees daily operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and alignment with trust and safety policies. This role provides direct support to team members, guiding them through complex cases, monitoring performance, and reinforcing best practices. The Team Lead is responsible for scheduling, workflow management, and reporting key moderation trends to leadership. Additionally, they collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine enforcement strategies, address policy gaps, and drive continuous improvement in moderation processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise daily operations, ensuring team members meet accuracy, productivity, and compliance standards.
  • Provide guidance on complex cases, clarifying policy interpretations and reinforcing best practices.
  • Monitor team performance, tracking key metrics and offering feedback to improve efficiency.
  • Assist with scheduling and workflow management, ensuring balanced workloads and timely task completion.
  • Support training efforts, helping onboard new team members and reinforcing ongoing learning initiatives.
  • Collaborate with senior leads and managers to report trends, enforcement challenges, and areas for improvement.
  • Conduct content audits, reviewing moderation decisions to maintain consistency and identify gaps.
  • Act as a point of escalation, addressing team concerns and facilitating resolutions to complex moderation issues.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • 2-4 years of leadership experience in compliance, regulatory affairs, or policy-related fields. 
  • Strong sense of integrity, professionalism, and the ability to respond to high-risk cases that include combatting hate speech, violent extremism, self-harm, fraud, exploitation, and misinformation/disinformation.
  • Strong ability to interpret and apply platform policies, ensuring team compliance and consistent enforcement.
  • Proficiency in tracking and reviewing moderation data, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to provide clear guidance and feedback to team members.
