Position Overview:

Verifying insurance information for new patients and referrals
Updating insurance information for existing patients
Explaining to patients what their financial responsibilities will be if required
Informing relevant clinical staff about patients benefits
Answering questions related to insurance
Comply with all privacy and confidentiality rules and regulations

Job Description:

Minimum Qualifications:

Proven work experience as an Insurance Verification Specialist, Authorizations Specialist or similar role in the healthcare industry
Excellent understanding of insurance contracts, medical terminology
Ability to work independently and manage one's time
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to take inbound and outbound calls daily
Weekends/Holiday rotation is required
Proficient in using Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and Internet research
Epic EHR experience, preferred

EDUCATION:Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.HS Diploma: High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) or equivalent education/experience.

Pay Range is $20.46 to $27.62 / hour
