Accounts Payable Representative

C.H. Robinson’s Robinson Fresh division is looking to add an Accounts Payable Representative to our Accounts Payable team. In a high-volume, process-driven environment you will oversee various facets of the accounts payable function.

As an Accounts Payable Representative, you will be entrusted with processing payments for produce and services, maintaining supplier relationships, managing an account portfolio, and fulfilling assigned daily tasks. You will resolve intricate challenges and disputes, guaranteeing that pivotal deadlines are met seamlessly. Location: We are seeking candidates located in Eden Prairie, MN, but we are also open to considering individuals from other locations. 

Responsibilities:

  • Cultivate meaningful connections with both internal and external collaborators, ensuring effective communication and building relationships grounded in reliable and professional service
  • Ensure smooth payment processing and supplier management that align seamlessly with our Service Level Expectations (SLAs) and well-defined Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Thoroughly examine and address a range of inquiries, encompassing payment disputes, pricing matters, and quantity variations
  • Communicate with both team members and suppliers, ensuring swift and polished resolution of any discrepancies
  • Review supplier statements as part of resolving payment-related inquiries and address any vendor inquiries about payment statuses
  • Identify opportunities to streamline accounts payable processes, enhance efficiency, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Consistently refine skills and broaden expertise in Accounts Payable processes

Required Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of experience using accounting/payables principals

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite programs, especially Outlook and Excel
  • Prior experience using the Famous software platform
  • Capability to excel in a dynamic, ever-evolving environment
  • Keen attention to detail and adeptness in deadline-driven settings
  • Proficient execution of functions with efficiency and accuracy
  • Strong written and verbal communication aptitude
  • Display of a positive, professional demeanor, along with exceptional customer service skills, including the handling of conflicts and sensitive matters
  • Demonstrating robust interpersonal capabilities
  • Possessing an independent, self-starting work ethic
  • Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Valuing a diverse and inclusive work environment
  • Fluency in multiple languages, with a preference for Spanish, is a valuable asset

Compensation Range

$16.11 - $33.46
