REMOTE - California Based & Barred Attorney

A growing plaintiff-only employment law firm based in Sherman Oaks, CA, is seeking a dedicated Plaintiff Employment Attorney to join their team. This role involves handling wage and hour class actions, PAGA cases, and various employment claims, from initial complaint drafting through trial preparation or settlement. As a trusted team member, you will work on a robust caseload and manage cases independently while maintaining high-quality work.

They are looking for a responsible, self-motivated attorney who delivers quality work without requiring micromanagement. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in employment law, particularly wage & hour class actions and PAGA, and is eager to contribute to the firm’s success.

Salary Range: $150,000 - $250,000 / year DOE

Plaintiff Employment Attorney Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of active employment law cases, including wage and hour class actions, PAGA claims, and FEHA cases involving retaliation, discrimination, and disability
  • Draft and file complaints, handle discovery, and conduct depositions
  • Represent clients in court appearances, arbitrations, and mediations
  • Collaborate with clients, providing clear and timely updates on their cases
  • Prepare and argue motions and oversee trial preparation
  • Work through cases from initiation to settlement or resolution

Plaintiff Employment Attorney Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of experience in wage & hour class actions; candidates with up to 10–15 years of experience will also be considered
  • Experience with PAGA cases is a plus
  • Individual employment experience such as wrongful termination and FEHA
  • Strongly prefer plaintiff-side experience, though candidates with wage & hour defense experience will be considered
  • Must be Barred in California and in good standing
  • Demonstrated ability to manage cases independently and meet deadlines
  • Exceptional writing and legal research skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with clients and team members
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to maintain high-quality work without supervision
