Job Summary

CSU Global is seeking a Financial Aid Specialist who will be responsible for ensuring that all Title IV financial assistance is packaged and certified accurately and in a timely manner, and is in compliance with all federal regulations and institutional policies. This role is responsible for evaluating eligibility, completing verification, awarding aid, and making required adjustments to student Title IV aid award packages.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Package assigned student population with Title IV aid.
  • Ensure that all packaging is completed according to institutional and federal policies and procedures.
  • Import ISIRs on a daily basis and ensure that the appropriate required documents are scheduled.
  • Process ISIR corrections for all verifications and professional judgments.
  • Set up budgets based on current and future enrollment to ensure accuracy of COA and package, update budgets and awards as required.
  • Send out award notices upon completion of awarding and process award adjustments.
  • Manage enrollment status changes to ensure that packaging is updated as necessary.
  • Complete verification for assigned students based on verification checklist.
  • Evaluate professional judgments and seek approval from the Director for assigned students.
  • Ensure all files have valid Direct Loan Master Promissory Notes and Entrance Counseling documentation on file prior to certification.
  • Delivers timely responses to student and staff inquiries.
  • Manage assigned student populations, including student groups and activities necessary to ensure timely review and completion of student files.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Title IV Funding requirements.
  • Knowledge of FAFSA completion and processing requirements, verification, professional judgment, ISIR comment codes, disbursements, returns to Title IV (R2T4), and other Title-IV administration knowledge.

QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited university required.
  • Two to three (2-3) years of experience in Title IV Federal Financial Aid Processing, specifically related to student eligibility, verification, and awarding.
  • Internal candidates - last performance evaluation rating at ‘meets expectations’ or higher.

  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.

Salary $46,000 - $53,000 annually based on experience & qualifications.
