The Director, HCM Operations provides overall business leadership and strategic vision for MetLife’s HCM operating model to support client integrations and plan configuration for leading HCM platforms. This is a new role focused on expanding on our strong foundation of connectivity with leading HCM platforms to create differentiated experiences for our mutual customers. Primary duties include:

  • Develops and maintains the strategic roadmap of key capabilities to provide HCM consulting and integration support for leading platforms such as Workday, ADP, UKG and Oracle.
  • Stay informed of key HCM platforms in market to inform future service and integration offerings.
  • Provides internal and external leadership on how we engage with leading HCM platforms with an initial focus on Workday.
  • Creates and maintains with internal and external stakeholders guides and technical instructions on how to deploy our integrations across all aspects of integrated HCMs.
  • Maintains third party builder relationships for clients who need additional build support beyond what MetLife can provide.
  • Develops and manages the overall process of clients who look to engage with our HCM services.
  • Leads the day-to-day activities of the HCM Consulting team.
  • Provides expertise during presale activities, assisting in RFP and finalize meetings as a subject matter expert.
  • Works across the organization to champion the importance of HCMs in the customer experience and align business processes.


Required Skills:

  • HS Diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor’s degree of equivalent experience preferred.
  • Group benefits experience with a preference towards operations, IT, distribution, and HR technology roles.
  • Knowledge of core HR functions including benefits, absence, and payroll.
  • Prior experience managing HCM and/or Ben Admin relationships with Workday experience preferred.
  • Experience leading in a matrix environment with direct and indirect accountability.


The salary range for applicants for this position is 100,000 - 155,000.
