They build AAA experiences that assist in training the Unites States Military and her allies all over the world, improving readiness & efficiency. The simulators are currently being used by Navy SEALs, the Air Force & Marine Special Forces. With a tonne of investment under their belt and the security of long-term military contracts, they are financially sound with a steady and stable pipeline.

The Role

The Daily Accountant will play a critical role in managing the financial health of the organization. This is an individual contributor position that reports directly to the CFO, with limited company meetings and regular one-on-one check-ins. The ideal candidate will be highly self-motivated, capable of working independently, and experienced in managing GAAP accounting within a hardware manufacturing environment.

The Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP standards.
• Manage financial transactions using Airbase, QuickBooks Online, and Excel, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables.
• Handle payroll processing across various platforms and onboard new employees, including payroll and benefits setup.
• Establish and maintain state tax accounts and registrations.
• Reconcile inventory reporting with accounting records.
• Create and post adjusting entries for deferred revenue, depreciation, amortization, payroll, prepaid expenses, and benefits.
• Process accounts payable payments and manage vendor relationships.

The Requirements

• Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a full-function business accounting role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business with a Finance emphasis.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting principles, specifically within a hardware manufacturing setting.
• CPA certification is strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in Airbase, QuickBooks Online, Excel (including intermediate functions such as VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables), and various payroll platforms.
• Experience working remotely with a distributed team, demonstrating self-motivation and reliability.
