Position Summary
The Director of Payer and Network Relations holds primary responsibility for leading the CHN's health plan efforts including contract design and negotiations and payer relations, in partnership with Children's payer contracting team. The contracting strategies will be designed and aligned with a progressive value-oriented program for CHN members providing necessary member support to deliver top tier pediatric outcomes. S/he provides input into the identification and operational execution of the Network's strategic priorities. S/he oversees core operational functions aligned to payer & network relationship management functions including referral management, business operations support, marketing and network growth/development. S/he is the staff lead with relevant CHN and Children's committees.
The Director of Quality & Network Operations reports to the President of the CHN.

Education:
- BA (or equivalent level of experience) in health/health care or a related field required. *Masters degree preferred.
Experience:
- 10 years in relevant work/field (e.g. network management/development, health plan contracting)
- Program and personnel management
- Demonstrated ability to execute on outcomes-driven work
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Healthcare background, with pediatric experience preferred
- Experience developing and implementing Value-based programs
- Ability to analyze data and translate into actionable direction
- Understanding of clinic operations
- Understanding of physician/clinically integrated networks
- Strong interpersonal and engagement skills to drive collaborative change among multidisciplinary teams
- Demonstrated ability to effectively engage operational and clinical leaders and teams
- Ability to set high expectations and hold team members accountable
- Fosters, in self and in staff, energy, ownership, meaning and personal commitment to the work
The posted salary represents a market competitive range based on salary survey benchmark data for similar roles in the local or national market. When determining individual pay rates, we carefully consider a wide range of factors including but not limited to market indicators for the specific role, the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate, internal equity and organizational needs.
In addition to your salary, this position may be eligible for medical, dental, vision, retirement, and other fringe benefits. Positions that require night, weekend or on-call work may be eligible for shift differentials or premium pay.
