Job description

Overview

CCRM and Unified Women’s Healthcare is a fast-growing organization that is looking for an Applications Integration and Vendor Manager to define innovative opportunities for our health care practices and lead our vendor management strategy. This role scopes integration solutions, manages vendor partnerships, and problem-solves interoperability challenges.

The Integration and Vendor Manager collaborates with CCRM/Unified’s implementation team, the athenahealth interface team, third-party vendors, and CCRM/Unified’s affiliated health care practices to ensure our practices achieve their interoperability goals. This role also applies their expertise to synchronize clinical workflows with interface functionality.

Responsibilities

Vendor Management:

  • Evaluate clinical vendors in partnership with Compliance and IT Security (e.g., imaging interfaces, check-in technologies, lab/hospital connections)
  • Make recommendations to the Vendor Management Committee on which clinical vendors should be recommended for our practices
  • Consult with new and existing practices to achieve their interoperability goals
  • Maintain a practice facing SharePoint site that highlights recommended vendors
  • Negotiate and maintain strong vendor relationships

Interface Scoping for onboarding practices:

  • Work directly with customers, vendors, and internal teams to evaluate and scope interfaces for new practices based on their previous and desired interface landscape
  • Identify workflow requirements to determine how interfaces would fit into proposed solutions
  • Outline interface functionality and identify any impacts to clinical workflows
  • Support interface go-lives
  • Support interface team ticketing queue for new interface configuration requests and established interface troubleshooting or enhancements
  • Coordinate directly with vendors to troubleshoot interface issues
  • Problem-solve interface challenges across technical elements and practice workflow

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Work on multiple projects concurrently, monitor the status of tasks and escalate issues when appropriate
  • Act as a technical touchpoint with customers and assist with customer support issues related to interfaces
  • Collaborate with other CCRM/Unified teams to create or enhance existing tools and processes to improve quality and throughput of interface implementations and data conversions

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, software engineering, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience in a Systems Analyst or Systems Engineer role (3+ years)
  • HL7 interface experience in Clinical and Administrative applications (3+ years)
    • Knowledge of APIs a plus
    • Thorough understanding of HL7 language and message structure a plus
  • Experience implementing and enhancing clinical workflows through the use of interfaced systems/devices
    • Experience with athenaClinicals EMR is preferred
  • Ability to solve complex problems with minimal direction
  • Familiarity with clinical workflows and implications on interface functionality
  • Outstanding listening and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively build relationships and negotiate with business vendors, providers and practice staff
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective time management, logical problem solving, and analytical skills with a demonstrated attention to detail
