Job Description

Network & Performance Engineering team creates unique connection between telco domain know-how, a wide range of well-designed tools and data science capabilities. Our main target is to provide in-depth technical expertise for Radio and Cloud products with a focus on 5G solutions and its performance aspects.

The team you will be part of is developing complex product intelligence and knowledge engineering systems, which operate on vast amounts of data and are used by thousands of Nokia employees worldwide.

As a member of an Agile team you will be involved in software development to support data-driven business decisions, analysis of complex data models and supporting Nokia products evolution.

We work with:

• Backend: Python
• Databases: PostgreSQL, TimescaleDB
• Data processing in Python deployed in Apache Airflow
• Selected BIs for data visualization (Tableau, PowerBI)
• Environment: Nokia private cloud and public cloud infrastructure (Azure)
• Linux on production systems, Linux/Windows on client desktops (free to choose)
• Other: Git, Docker, Kubernetes
  
  

How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn

Your role will be:

• Responsible for software design, implementation and deployment of application ecosystem components, especially in the area of data engineering,
• Collaboration with key stakeholders to analyze demands and translate business requirements into an implementable solution and technical specifications
• Providing deep functional and technical expertise, sharing best practices and support for team members
• Solving technical problems and developing innovative solutions with an impact on the business
  
  

Key Skills And Experience

You have :

• Expert-level proficiency in Python for backend development,
• Experience with Data Engineering
• Excellent knowledge of SQL and noSQL database systems and familiarity with partitioning, indexing and retention strategies
• Experience in development, deployment, and maintenance of scalable, cloud-native distributed applications
  
  

It would be nice if you also had:

• Experience with Apache Airflow
• Experience with Big Data Platforms (e.g. Apache Spark),
• Knowledge of Java programming language
• Master's or bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Telecommunications, or equivalent education
• Fluency in English (both written and spoken)
