Business Development Director - West Coast


REMOTE


Are you a strategic sales leader with a passion for advancing clinical research through cutting-edge technology? At Signant Health, we are transforming the life sciences industry, and we’re looking for a results-driven Business Development Director to drive growth and build impactful partnerships on the West Coast.


In this role, you’ll manage and expand relationships with biotech companies, positioning Signant Health’s innovative solutions at the forefront of clinical trials. If you have deep expertise in the eClinical space, a proven track record in consultative sales, and a drive to shape the future of clinical research, we want to hear from you!


What You’ll Do:

  • Drive Strategic Sales Growth: Develop and execute a sales strategy to grow revenue across biotech accounts on the West Coast.
  • Engage Key Stakeholders: Build and maintain relationships with decision-makers, becoming a trusted partner in their clinical trial success.
  • Develop & Execute Account Plans: Align sales initiatives with Signant Health’s business goals to drive long-term success.
  • Manage Complex Sales Cycles: Lead the end-to-end sales process, from initial engagement to contract negotiation and closing deals.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work with Solution Leads, Solutions Architects, and Scientific Consulting teams to tailor solutions that meet client needs.
  • Lead Proposal & Bid Defense: Take ownership of crafting compelling proposals and ensuring our solutions stand out in a competitive market.
  • Provide Forecasting & Reporting: Deliver accurate sales forecasts and pipeline updates to inform business strategy.


What You’ll Bring:


Must-Haves:

  • Proven success in B2B sales within the eClinical or life sciences industry, with experience selling clinical research services or technology solutions.
  • Strong understanding of biotech industry needs and the ability to position Signant Health as a key partner in clinical trials.
  • Demonstrated expertise in complex, consultative sales, including proposal development, bid defense, and customer presentations.
  • Ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans, manage pipelines effectively, and accurately forecast sales outcomes.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.


Nice-to-Haves:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience working with CROs, biotech, or global matrixed organizations.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce.com (or similar CRM systems), Microsoft Office, and Excel.
