THE TEAM

The HR Shared Services team is a group of superstars that are at the core of all HR activities at Ticketmaster. It is the team that is driving the standardization and globalization of all processes, the enablement of the HR team and Ticketmaster employees, and the execution of all HR operational imperatives.

THE JOB

There is an exciting role on the HR Shared Services team that will own and run Ticketmaster’s global HR governance program and manage our key HR projects. The Manager, HR Governance & Projects will be responsible for the overall project management process, from intake, assessment and capacity planning to project delivery. During the project lifecycle, this role will ensure project health, proactive anticipation of challenges, effective coordination of resources and enforcement of timelines and accountability. The Manager will also utilize project management methodologies and best practices, as well as conduct impact analyses, RACI and various other duties within the PMO discipline. Further, this role will provide regular and effective reporting deliverables that communicate statuses, risks, dependencies and milestones across our global HR steam, project sponsors and our HR leadership team – all from individual projects and the rollup to broader programs.

The ideal candidate will have experience specifically with HR projects and/or working knowledge of HR topics, has first-rate interpersonal skills, is highly collaborative, a problem-solver, effectively manages complexity, takes initiative, adaptable and is able to communicate to stakeholders at all levels including executives and HR leadership.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Has oversight of and maintains all HR project activity globally
  • Owns the end-to-end process of projects from pre-intake activities to hypercare
  • Runs and enforces Ticketmaster’s HR Governance model as methodology of governance across all projects
  • Oversees the project rollup to the Governance, Optimization and HR Priority Projects programs
  • Leads HR’s annual priority project and capacity planning
  • Regularly reports out overall project and program statuses to the global HR team and HR leadership, highlighting milestones achieved, upcoming activities, risks, showstoppers – with a view of overall health of project scope, budget, timeline and resources
  • Builds and maintains project dashboards
  • Provides recommendations to move projects forward and actively assists project team members when roadblocks are encountered
  • Influences key parties and stakeholders when met with resistance to move projects forward; also acts as a liaison between parties that disagree and mediates conflict effectively
  • Proposes solutions using a variety of project management methodologies (i.e. Waterfall, Agile, Stage-Gate)
  • Provide strategic direction on HR project management matters
  • Leads and takes initiative in group and team discussions while recognizing the value of diversity of opinion
  • Demonstrates creative thinking when approaching new problems or tasks
  • Leads projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity
  • Enforces deadlines and holds all project participants accountable when task due-dates and timelines are compromised
  • Organizes and schedules all meetings that require project plans
  • Supports overall HR operational excellence

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (or TECHNICAL SKILLS)

  • Mid-level project/program management experience leading complex, cross functional projects in a global environment required
  • Associate level of HR project management or direct HR experience required
  • Experience with leading change management activities within projects
  • Experience with capacity planning
  • Expert knowledge and/or proficiency in project management tools (e.g. JIRA, Trello, Confluence)
  • Experience with various project management methodologies (i.e. Waterfall, Agile, Stage-Gate)
  • Smartsheet experience is a plus
  • Experience with using process mapping tools (i.e. Visio, Lucid Chart) is a plus
  • PMP certification is a plus
