Job description

The job profile for this position is Resource Planning Manager, which is a Band 4 Manager Career Track Role.

Role Summary

The Resource Planning Manager will own the evaluation, development and operationalization of the capacity and staffing models that forecast and measure volume, inventory, cycle time, productivity, and project staff supply vs demand while emulating business process. The role is accountable to collaborate with Resource Planning team members and business partners to ensure models and projects are completed within committed time/budget and integrated with other related projects and initiatives, both vertically and horizontally. Actions have significant impact on key business objectives. The Resource Planning Manager will focus on achieving key performance results and improving the overall customer experience by identifying process improvement opportunities and driving a culture of customer centricity. The Resource Planning Manager would also monitor individual and teams to identify and act on both positive and negative trends to ensure attainment of financial and performance targets.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Resource Planning Team, collaborate with stakeholders, enablers, and teams to create and deliver resources for long term capacity forecasts, serving as the primary contact for Operational Partners, and engages as well as influences decisions.  E.g. model requirements and design.
  • Prepares exhibits that articulate data driven analysis related to near-term and long-term planning as well as scenario driven asks related to resource planning changes throughout the year
  • Leads monthly/quarterly and ad hoc Capacity and Staffing Planning review engagements with business leadership and other matrix partners; along with ad hoc resource usage reports and produce analysis of staffing recommendations. Partners with business leadership to develop short term resource allocation plans, and short-term tactical resource mitigation action
  • Collects and converts business requirements into functional and non-functional specifications to enable and support managing operating systems related to labor demand, inventory, cycle time, and productivity. Advises on business requirements for related applications and other measurement tools in the Management Operating System environment
  • Leads and influences data policy to manage and monitor data compliance for critical fields within key applications that serve as basis for accurate measurement systems

Business Acumen Requirements:

  • Deep understanding of how to learn an operations key business processes and applications to determine the primary sources of data to measure the operation labor demand
  • Experience with large enterprise business operations and planning; ability to lead all aspects of new model development, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Ability to effectively project labor demand and compare it against projected labor supply by building predictive models that emulate the workflow of the operation
  • Demonstrated capabilities to analyze historic capacity model input data, staffing plans, and synthesize business intelligence to build predictive labor demand forecasts while engaging with business partners
  • Develop complex analytic models and forecasts using system, data, and business metrics
  • Manage relationships with finance, business operations, and business leadership
  • Analyze performance data, identify bottlenecks, and recommend alternative solutions

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree and at least 6 to 7 years of experience developing operational capacity and staffing models strongly preferred
  • Experience with data management and advanced MS Excel is required and MS Access/SQL is highly desired
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to research, problem solve, trouble shoot, influence and partner across the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to support multi-functional projects independently
  • Healthcare Industry experience strongly preferred
  • Project management skills with a strong understanding of sales, business process, and operations

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 80,900 - 134,800 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
