Qualifications:Who we want… (Requirements)
The Scheduler plays a critical role in managing and optimizing project schedules for NexGen Contracting’s Concrete Division. This role ensures accurate project timelines, resource allocation, and proactive risk management to drive efficiency and successful project execution. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, LoadSpring, and other industry-standard scheduling platforms.
· Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules for multiple construction projects.
· Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and stakeholders to ensure accurate schedule development and alignment with project goals.
· Utilize Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, LoadSpring, and other scheduling software to track progress, monitor delays, and forecast completion dates.
· Analyze critical path activities and identify potential schedule risks, recommending mitigation strategies.
· Conduct regular schedule performance reviews and provide reports to project teams and senior management.
· Integrate subcontractor schedules into master schedules and ensure proper sequencing of activities.
· Assist in project planning, resource leveling, and manpower forecasting.
· Prepare and present project schedule updates, delay analysis, and impact assessments for internal and external stakeholders.
· Support the development of recovery schedules and time impact analyses when delays occur.
· Ensure compliance with company scheduling standards and best practices.
· Other duties as assigned.

What we expect… (Essential Functions)
· 6+ years of experience as a professional scheduler, with at least 3 years in the construction industry.
· Extensive proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, LoadSpring, and other scheduling tools.
· Strong understanding of construction sequencing, project controls, and critical path methodology.
· Experience working on commercial or industrial construction projects preferred.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
· Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex scheduling data effectively.
· Attention to detail, with a commitment to accuracy, quality, and continuous improvement.
· Willingness to travel occasionally (up to 15%) for project site visits and meetings.
